원도심 창작공간 또따또가는 부산문화재단에서 주최하며,
부산 원도심 유휴공간을 예술인의 창작공간으로 지원하고
작가 역량을 강화하기 위한 프로그램을 운영하는 레지던시입니다.
TOTATOGA is organized by Busan Cultural Foundation.
It is a residency that supports idle spaces in Busan's downtown as creative spaces for artists and runs programs to strengthen artists' capabilities.
또따또가가 위치한 부산 중구는 오랫동안 행정의 중심지 역할을 해왔습니다.
하지만 1990년대 후반, 행정기관들의 이전과 도시의 확장으로 중구는 점차 공동화 현상을
겪게 되었고, 그로 인해 빈 점포와 사무실 등 유휴공간이 늘어나기 시작했습니다.
이에따라 부산의 역사와 이야기를 품은 중앙동 40계단 일대를 중심으로, 지역 문화를
재발견하고 도시를 재생하고자 유휴공간을 활용한 도심형 창작공간 ‘또따또가’가 조성되었습니다.
Jung-gu, Busan, where TOTATOGA is located, has long served as the administrative center of Busan.
However, in the late 1990s, due to the relocation of administrative agencies and the expansion of the city, Jung-gu gradually experienced a phenomenon of communalization, and as a result, idle spaces such as empty stores and offices began to increase.
In response to this, 'TOTATOGA' was created, an urban creative space that utilizes idle spaces to rediscover local culture and regenerate the city, centered around the 40 steps of Jungang-dong, an area that holds the history and stories of Busan.

또따또가의 입주 예술가들은 시각예술, 문학, 공연예술, 커뮤니티 기반 예술 등 특정 장르에 국한되지 않은 다양한 분야에서 창작활동을 펼칩니다. 또한 시민을 대상으로 한 문화예술교육 및 일상 속 문화기획을 통해 지역 문화의 활성화와 예술의 자생력 확대에 기여하고 있습니다.
The artists in residence at TOTATOGA create in a variety of fields, including visual arts, literature, performing arts, and community-based arts, and are not limited to a specific genre. They also contribute to the revitalization of local culture and the self-sustainability of the arts through cultural education and daily cultural initiatives for citizens.

또따또가는 3년마다 공식 입주공모를 통해 새로운 예술가를 선정합니다.
장르 제한 없이 다양한 예술 분야에서 공모를 받고 있으며, 서류 - 면접을 거쳐 최종 선정된 예술가/단체는 공식적으로 입주하여 창작활동을 시작하게 됩니다.
Every three years, 'TOTATOGA' selects new artists through an official residency competition. Applicants must be individuals or organizations consisting of 'artists who have been living or working in the Busan area for at least one year' and must be able to work in the space for at least 15 days per month. Applications are accepted from a wide range of artistic disciplines, with no genre restrictions, and applicants must submit an application form, activity plan, project/program proposal, and evidence of existing activities.
